It is quite hard to reproduce, I suspect it is due to something dynamic
such as frequency scaling or another CPU state.
I tried in a very tight loop, eg. only oil_init(), but to no luck.
I also tried:
oil_init();
oil_test_check_impl(NULL, NULL);
oil_test_init(NULL);
Perhaps you have something to suggest for me to try.
I suspect the random bug reports we see with the warning are caused by
these randomness.

This bug *was* closed, but now it's not, and I'm not entirely sure
why. Anyway, the function has been disabled for months, so it's
definitely no longer a bug.
