--- Begin Message --- Package: Gnome

This bug happened to me twice, on two separate installs.

I did an aptitude upgrade today by doing these commands as root:

aptitude update

aptitude -f -with-recommends dist-upgrade

After downloading and installing about 70 packages, upon reboot and starting Gnome, I get 3 question dialog boxes:

Question
The "Show Desktop" applet appears to have died unexpectedly.  Do you want to reload this applet?  (If you choose not to reload it at this time you can always add it by right clicking on the panel and clicking on the "Add to Panel" submenu.)  OK / Cancel

Question
The "Window List" applet appears to have died unexpectedly.  Do you want to reload this applet?  (If you choose not to reload it at this time you can always add it by right clicking on the panel and clicking on the "Add to Panel" submenu.)  OK / Cancel

Question
The "Workspace Switcher" applet appears to have died unexpectedly.  Do you want to reload this applet?  (If you choose not to reload it at this time you can always add it by right clicking on the panel and clicking on the "Add to Panel" submenu.)  OK / Cancel

After this happened the first time, I nuked the hard disk and started over with a sarge installation from CD, then did the aptitude upgrade as above and the same thing happened again.

I'm closing this bug as there have been no activity, or no response to
followup questions, and new releases of the package in question which
likely has fixed this bug or made it obsolete.

Feel free to reopen the report if you think the bug still is valid.
