Hi. I hope it's OK for me to send an email reply to this. If not, please excuse me.

The
-output FILENAME
has to go in the
OPTIONS
part, before the command filename.

But you're right, the syntax
gri test.gri my-file-name.ps
does not produce the named ps file, as would be implied by the
gri -help
output line
gri [OPTIONS] [command_file [postscript_file]]

So, that's a bug in the
gri -help
output. However, this bug is not present in the "info" docs, which read (in section 3.2)
gri [OPTIONS] [CmdFile [optional_arguments]]

I'll report this bug to SF. Thanks for noting it.

gri completely ignores a second argument to specify the output file
or the -output option, as described in the -help text:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp/t% echo 'draw title "foo"' > test.gri
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp/t% ls
test.gri
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp/t% gri test.gri -output foobar.ps
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp/t% ls
test.gri test.ps
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp/t% gri test.gri foobar.ps
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp/t% ls
test.gri test.ps
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp/t%
