Giuseppe, I'm trying to help clear up some of the existing cdrtools bugs. If you can still reproduce this bug, can you please try running cdrecord with the "-V" flag so we can see the exact sequence of SCSI commands it's sending? You may need to use "script" or similar to capture the output, as there will probably be a lot.
