OK, that's very weird. Do you still have a copy of your original gpm.conf file, that I can use to try to reproduce this? > -- debconf information: [...] > * gpm/type: imps2 > * gpm/device: /dev/psaux I see debconf still thinks your mouse is at /dev/psaux even after you did the dpkg-reconfigure.
