Package: mozilla Version: 2:1.7.5-1 Followup-For: Bug #290915
The origin of the problem is that the user was still using the old executable image while the new XUL files were installed by the upgrade. Thus, using the not-upgraded mozilla while the XUL files changed caused the problems. The Debian package failed to advertise that the problem can arise, and to suggest sysadmin to kill all running mozilla-bin processes. Otherwise it seems to be correct. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.9 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) (ignored: LC_ALL set to [EMAIL PROTECTED]) Versions of packages mozilla depends on: ii dpkg 1.10.25 Package maintenance system for Deb ii mozilla-browser 2:1.7.5-1 The Mozilla Internet application s ii mozilla-mailnews 2:1.7.5-1 The Mozilla Internet application s ii mozilla-psm 2:1.7.5-1 The Mozilla Internet application s -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
