Ok, I just find what is this strange thing.
You can find information about smartsuite here :
http://packages.debian.org/smartsuite
This is a really old application, which is now deprecated (replaced by
smartmontools, I think). It exists only in woody now, and disappeared from
sid. I think I have it in my database because I installed it a long while
ago. If you can't find it, it's because you run sid or sarge and never
installed this application before, I guessed. ;)

Sorry, I just notice that. But, synaptic shouldn't crash when it can't find a
package changelog. Nevertheless, it's absolutelly not critical, since it
doesn't happen really often. I can now reproduce it only with packages I have
installed then removed and for which I haven't had a line in source.list
anymore. For example, I recently removed mplayer-k6 (I replaced it by
mplayer-nogui) and I removed the line about mplayer packages in my
source.list. So, it crashes when I try to get changelog for mplayer-k6, but
it doesn't crash for mplayer-nogui (it just tells me it can't get it).
I hope it helps.

JJ Luza.
