buffer an helper package for backup on tape . Mondo has a dependency on it and flexbackup a suggest. I feel that both are wrong. buffer is a bad name for a binary, especially wiht the unix fs layout. Also dpkg -L hwtools does show no buffer tool , nor any man page .
