Package: websvn Version: 1.61-8 Severity: important
First off thanks for taking the time to package this application, my users love using it and I love how easy the Debian package makes it to manage. -- For compatibility reasons with other existing systems, we run our Apache with the user/group www instead of the standard Debian www-data. After updating the websvn package it chowned /var/cache/websvn and /etc/websvn/svn_deb_conf.inc back to the www-data user thus breaking my installation. This seems sensible for a default installation but on an upgrade it seems bad to mess with existing permissions as there are lots of reasons and configurations where this approach can cause problems. Thanks, Adam. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (650, 'testing'), (600, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.26 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C Versions of packages websvn depends on: ii apache2 2.0.52-1 Next generation, scalable, extenda ii apache2-mpm-prefork [httpd] 2.0.52-1 Traditional model for Apache2 ii debconf 1.4.30.5 Debian configuration management sy ii libapache2-mod-php4 4:4.3.8-12 server-side, HTML-embedded scripti ii php4-cgi 4:4.3.4-4 A server-side, HTML-embedded scrip ii po-debconf 0.8.12 Manage translated Debconf template ii subversion 1.0.6-2 Advanced version control system (a ii ucf 1.07 Update Configuration File: preserv -- debconf information: * websvn/webservers: apache2 * websvn/configuration: true * websvn/parentpath: /svnroot/tech * websvn/repositories: /svnroot/tech * websvn/permissions: -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
