Package: cupsys Version: 1.1.23-3 Severity: important I upgraded sid yesterday (last updated about a week ago), and now cupsys won't start. Every attempt to run /etc/init.d/cupsys start prints a few seconds later:
cupsd: Child exited with status 98! No other details are printed. During the upgrade, I was asked about replacing three files: printers.conf (to which I've learned to say no, since replacing it destroys all information about existing printers) and two others (cupsd.conf and classes.conf, maybe?) I took the default action for all of them, which was to keep my current configuration. But it looks like the differences in cupsd.conf and classes.conf between the .dpkg-new and the existing files in /etc/cups are all comments anyway, except for the LogLevel (which I have set to debug). So that's probably not the problem; and installing cupsd.conf.dpkg-dist and classes.conf.dpkg-dist don't cure the problem anyway.
