I tried to put the package nvidia-glx on hold via the following command but it tried to update the package. (As it can be seen in the output) eagle-one:/home/afb/inst+src# aptitude hold nvidia-glx Reading Package Lists... In the aptitude ui i couldn't put it on hold directly but after marking it manual "m" the "=" put it on hold. I hope I could provide useful information to solve the problem. Thanks in advanve.
