Package: gconf2 Version: 2.8.1-4 gconftool-2 segfaults at any invocation, thus making several packages unable to be properly configured (or removed) as the .deb control scripts fails with the segfault. I have seen this bug before in the database, but that seemed to affect an earlier version (2.6.something) of the gconf2 package and was fixed. However, I have not seen anything pertaining to this version. I have some GNOME packages installed (base libs, gnmueric and the like), but not the entire desktop system. I have tried removing and reinstalling the gconf2 and libgconf2-4 package several time, without any effect.
