The bug as it was described is fixed in 2.0.3 (current Sarge version).
But many errors are still present when dealing with tasks and categories:
* if you add a task to a new category, you cannot filter by that category
unless you restart evolution.
* If you move all the tasks from one category, one last task is still
present. This task is empty and but the description of the last one is
shown in the preview pane.
These are minor bugs, related to the same problem.
