The reason I didn't do that when I did my recent upload was that we don't have an automated way to create a new tarball from the Android git repo, nor to automatically check for new versions. Would you be able to help with those? For the first one we need a script/get-orig-source target that automatically creates a tarball from upstream stuff. For the second one, the Droid fonts folks need to provide versioned tarballs on their website. I guess it will be hard to contact them and or convince them to do that though.
