I dont think it is wise to begin making changes to a package to support
an unsupported distribution, because there are quite possibly a number
of other things that will also need to be changed. It is also quite
difficult to continue to package something taking into account older
versions that aren't supported. It is very easy for you to fix this
problem on your own system. However, I am a little suspicious of
in-place sed -i commands, so I think we will be fixing this soon.
