Since 2.8.7, FindPythonInterp by default picks such Python version which the main python executable (/usr/bin/python) points to.

Okay, so FindPythonInterp appears to be fixed, but FindPythonLibs still picks highest available version:

-- Found PythonInterp: /usr/bin/python (found version "2.7.3")
[...]
-- Found PythonLibs:
optimized;/usr/lib/python3.2/config/libpython3.2.so;debug;/usr/lib/python3.2/config/libpython3.2.so
 (found version "3.2.3rc2")
