While the 0.3.7.beta-16.1 restores the actual sniffit binary placed in the package, which is of course rather essential, this binary is not built with any of the hardening build flags, therefore reopening this bug. You can always check if hardening worked with the 'hardening-check' tool from the hardening-includes package.
