Bugs don't fix themselves automagically..:-) You may (or may not) have noticed that aptitude development resumed quite recently. This bug may be lost among dozens of others and not yet noticed by those working on the package. Do you still experience the bug? If you, can you give a test case that would be easy to reproduce for developers? If so, that will certainly give better chances that someone in the (still small) development team works on it. Please notice that I have no exact idea of the bug myself and didn't even check if it still applies, but I actually didn't want to leave your mail unanswered as you seem to care about the issue.
