dash is a posix minimal shell, and does not support -e switch to echo
(doesn't need it because interpretation of the following
backslash-escaped characters is the default in posix specifications)

An example invocation:

# dash /usr/bin/rkhunter -c


Rootkit Hunter 1.2.7 is running

Determining OS... Ready


Checking binaries
* Selftests
     Strings (command)-e                                         [ OK ]


* System tools
  Performing 'known bad' check...
   /bin/cat-e                                                    [ OK ]
   /bin/chmod-e                                                  [ OK ]
....

The only error is the "-e" appended after the first world on the line.
