The problem (xserver crash) can be reproduced by enable/disabling deinterlace, while playing some video, using Xv driver by Kaffeine/xine. Fglrx 12.3 - Debian Squeeze, amd64, kernel 3.3.1, Xorg 1.10.4-1~bpo60+1.
