For what it's worth, this no longer happens to me on squeeze or wheezy, and hasn't happened for a very long time. As far as I can see, the bug is gone and the report can be closed, but I leave it to the package maintainers to decide that (especially since the bug is merged). -- All my predictions will turn out to be false
