Package: gnome Version: 1:3.0+7 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
This is about graphics corruption that occurs whenever playing a particular game in full screen mode in gnome3, but never in xfce: I built and installed naev 0.5.2 and its associated ndata file: (It is free software.) http://sourceforge.net/projects/naev/files/naev-0.5.2/ When I launch the game in gnome3 with full screen mode enabled, the screen flickers a bit during the loading screen, and then at full speed at the main menu. If I then quit, gnome windows will occasionally blink and disappear, and/or be partially drawn. If I then log out and back in again, gnome thankfully appears normal again. If you try to run the game, I suggest that you quit other programs beforehand, as you might have to kill your session from a tty if you cannot see the menus. Disabling VBOs doesn't solve the problem. If I disable full screen mode in the game menu and relaunch the game after logging out and back into gnome, there appears to be no problem, even with all of the graphics optimizations enabled. Also, the game works fine in xfce4 with either full screen mode enabled or disabled. I did not test gnome fallback mode. This is a problem with naev 0.4 and 0.5.1 in gnome3 as well. I think I tried naev 0.5 in Trisquel 5.0 (based off of Ubuntu 11.04) and didn't have problems. One of the lead developers in their irc channel said that they haven't made real changes in the rendering code for a while. I have a laptop with a core i3 390M with integrated graphics.
