* What led up to the situation?
Trying to start gtimer (from the menu menu or from a terminal).
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
I installed gtimer and tried to run it. No such luck.
* What was the outcome of this action?
Running from the menu a brief splashscreen window appears, then it
dissapears. gtimer doesn't start.
Running from a terminal it displays the following:
