Package: davfs2 Version: 1.4.6-1 Severity: wishlist
Bug #533058 switched davfs2 to libneon built using gnutls since there was no difference in doing so and it was a better choice license-wise. However, in newer versions of davfs2, support for NTLM authentication is only available when using libneon linked with openssl. This means I am unable to mount my Sharepoint folders made available via WebDAV, instead seeing the error message "Could not authenticate to server: ignored NTLM challenge". Rebuilding davfs2 using libneon27 instead of libneon27-gnutls solves this problem. Please consider switching davfs2 back to use libneon27. -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.4 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-0.bpo.2-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE= (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages davfs2 depends on: ii adduser 3.112+nmu2 add and remove users and groups ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.36.1 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.11.3-2 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libneon27-gnutls 0.29.3-3 An HTTP and WebDAV client library davfs2 recommends no packages. davfs2 suggests no packages. -- Configuration Files: /etc/davfs2/davfs2.conf changed [not included] /etc/davfs2/secrets [Errno 13] Permission denied: u'/etc/davfs2/secrets' -- debconf information excluded -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
