Package: procps Version: 1:3.2.5-1 Severity: normal Hi,
recently, the netbase package has begun to complain if the deprecated file /etc/network/options is still being used. The suggested migration way is to use /etc/sysctl.conf with appropriate entries. The /e/n/o option "spoofprotect" echos 1 into /proc/sys/net/ipv4/conf/*/rp_filter, which prompts a sysctl.conf entry of net/ipv4/conf/*/rp_filter=1. sysctl.conf doesn't grok this and complains about an invalid key. To ease the transition from /e/n/o to sysctl.conf, sysctl should be able to expand the wildcard.
