With no change to my xmonad config, I'm suddenly getting repeated problems to do with "user error (createFontSet)". It seems that anything in xmonad that tries to use a font is failing this way. This breaks title bar decorations (and in turn causes all window layouts using them to fail), the shellPrompt, etc. I'm using the default font, -misc-fixed-*-*-*-*-10-*-*-*-*-*-*-* I can load this font in xfontsel without any problems. I am not using a standalone font server. Restarting X temporarily clear the problem up, but after a little while using the system it again begins to fail. Most strange. I don't know how to debug.
