Linux is not a mess, and packagers and maintainers ought to care about usesrs. .xinitrc is not read by xdm to start .dmrc is not read by xdm to start please make one of them to be read to start a given WM Please care about this post, really. It can be changed .xinitrc and .dmrc and whatever, and it is not possible to select the WM one wants. Please a fix for debian stable and not sid, because XDM exists since really a long time.
