the files in /etc/apparmor.d/local/ are still there after purge. I also noticed the following error messages during installation of apparmor-profiles: Selecting previously unselected package apparmor-profiles. (Reading database ... 6858 files and directories currently installed.) Unpacking apparmor-profiles (from .../apparmor-profiles_2.7.103-1_all.deb) ... Setting up apparmor-profiles (2.7.103-1) ... cp: cannot create regular file `/etc/apparmor.d/abstractions/ubuntu-browsers.d': No such file or directory invoke-rc.d: unknown initscript, /etc/init.d/apparmor not found. * check whether the init script exists (apparmor may not be installed) before (re)starting it * ship all the directories in the package where you are going to manipulate files, dpkg will take care of creating and removing them Andreas
