Sometimes, it's Gtk fault, and we have to collect a lot of bugs, reassign them to Gtk, and close them, or they get closed later, when the package maintainer pings the bug, but in this case it was the contrary: numerous bugs in applications which were uncovered by a legitimate Gtk change.
