No reply since you poked upstream about this issue over a month ago. Is this package still actively developed upstream? Should it be removed from the Debian archive? We really do not want to ship 4 vala versions in wheezy and awn is the last package depending on vala-0.10. Updating to vala-0.12 won't help much either, since this is the other versions scheduled to be removed. If you want to keep awn, would you be willing to take over maintenance of valac-0.10? Please keep in mind though, that this version is no longer maintained upstream.
