Package: tpp Version: 1.3.1-2 Severity: wishlist Tags: upstream Dear Maintainer,
I have tried running tpp with the pending upload of ruby-ncurses 1.3.1-1, which has wide character support (ncursesw), and ruby 1.9. With this setup tpp does not respond to keyboard input. Running tpp with ruby 1.8 and the pending ruby-ncurses upload works fine. I expected tpp to respond to user keyboard input with ruby 1.9 as it does with ruby 1.8. Note that ruby-ncurses (1.3.1-1) for ruby 1.9 has a compatibility patch for the undefined STR2CSTR, the macro is simply defined and included in the C extension files. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-4-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages tpp depends on: ii ruby 4.8 ii ruby-ncurses [libncurses-ruby1.8] 1.3.1-1 ii ruby1.8 [ruby] 1.8.7.352-2 tpp recommends no packages.
