Did you a rebuild test for the reverse dependencies? > The new package is already waiting for a sponsor on mentors, see RFS > #669717. And I've just asked people not to sponsor it. Please wait until we say OK, meaning after the exiv2 transitions is over. Mraw, KiBi.
