I'm planning to NMU with changes listed in previous mail's patch to help migrate away from deprecated dpatch (E: error in the packaging checks).
It would be good to update[1] old Standards-Version etc. and prepare the package to include hardened build flags (Debian release goal). Please let me know if an update is alredy being worked on, or if there is anything else that should delay the NMU.
