The interesting thing in these logs is that Firefox actually doesn't use
the gnome database, which makes it work, and Iceweasel does use the
gnome database, and thus fails. What you can try to do is remove the
/usr/lib/xulrunner-10.0/components/libmozgnome.so. If my theory is
right, it should make Iceweasel behave like Firefox on your machine.
I guess you don't have the libgnomevfs2-0 package installed on your
machine, do you?

The only reason new releases of Iceweasel go in experimental is that
they can't go in unstable because they don't fit the bill for the debian
stable release. They're not experimental per se.
