I cannot reproduce this.
I tried to investigate a bit more. It seems that I get the message when
the libpam-systemd (44-1) package is also installed.
su reports this message " ...terminated" when it receives a signal
and
force the termination of the executed command.
Is there any reason why su should have received a signal in your
case?
I frankly don't see any in "su -c id".
