Package: moreutils
Version: 0.41
Severity: wishlist

Some commands, specially those which deal with networks, are not
guaranteed to work on the first try. A simple looping utility would
re-run the command until it succeeds. As a demo, I wrote this Bash
script:

http://code.google.com/p/tokland/source/browse/trunk/tools/loop.sh

You can customize the maximum retry count, the time between retries,
the retriable exit codes, etc.

thanks,
arnau
