I have also seen these errors recently on three separate installs of apt-cacher-ng that I have at different sites. Two of the sites have fast fibre channel links to the Internet and one has a much slower ADSL connection.
The most recent cronjob failure reports the following: /etc/cron.daily/apt-cacher-ng: Error(s) occured while updating volatile index files for apt-cacher-ng. Please visit http://proxy:3142/acng-report.html to rerun the expiration manually or check the error message(s) in the current log file(s). Check error messages in /var/log/apt-cacher-ng/maint_1337639106.log The log file above contains a number of "2 Resource temporarily unavailable" error messages in it. The errors are intermittent, although seem to be more likely to occur than to not. When I manually use the web GUI to run the 'Start Scan and/or Expiration' then often it fails with: 502 Resource temporarily unavailable Then subsequent runs may or may not exhibit this problem. The version of apt-cacher-ng I am running at all sites is: ||/ Name Version Description +++-===========================-===========================-============================================== ii apt-cacher-ng 0.7.3-1 caching proxy server for software repositories I am using the 'sid' distribution at one location and the 'testing' distribution at the other two. -- ---------- Jim Barber DDI Health -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
