Package: nova-volume Version: 2012.1-2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
The init script for nova-volume is attempting to start the daemon using the --volume_group options to set the lvm volume group used for generating iSCSI targets. The version of nova-volume that is packages doesn't have this option and is failing silently. Starting the daemon by hand and naming the volume your nova-volumes, which is the default does work proper and new logical volumes are created as expected, without error. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages nova-volume depends on: ii lsb-base 4.1+Debian4 ii lvm2 2.02.95-3 ii nova-common 2012.1-2 ii python 2.7.2-10 ii python2.6 2.6.7-4 ii python2.7 2.7.3~rc2-2.1 ii tgt 1:1.0.17-1 nova-volume recommends no packages.
