Closed with which solution?
Looked like typical newbie user error.
I tried several mixers (aumix, alsamixer and kmix) with all available sources for recording, but it didn't work.
I use aumix. Usually the sound card is "line" or "line1" input (default is "mic", this is what newbies often trap into). Record level has a separate control named "igain" on my sound card, but I've also seen the "line" controlling that directly. It all depends on the sound card ...
Is there any possibility to test it further or is ALSA-support available? (OSS is depricated in recent kernels)
