Hi, I've put (not Debian specific) bug report to Debian BTS but unfortunately with no response to it, so now I would send it to you as upstream maintainer.
Some of Japanese Debian users annoyed to see "〜" glyph as "□" with Evince and the docs that was created with TeX. I suggest add conf file to fontconfig as http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?msg=5;filename=30-RyuminGothicBBB.conf;att=1;bug=642520 I want to hear your opinion for this issue.
