Package: libcairo2 Version: 1.12.2-1 Severity: important After upgrading libcairo2 to 1.12.2-1 characters started to disappear randomly in cairo-using applications, especially with bigger font sizes.
With gxmessage -fn 'DejaVu Sans Mono 100' 1.2.3.4.5 this is reproducible with font sizes from 32 to 157. Downgrading libcairo2 to 1.10.2-7 fixes the problem (screenshots from gxmessage attached). Further investigation revealed that the bug appears to be no longer reproducible if I comment out the following fragment of my .fonts.conf: <match target="font" > <edit mode="assign" name="antialias" > <bool>false</bool> </edit> </match> The system is running with xserver-xorg-video-radeon 1:6.14.4-3, so this issue is probably unrelated to the Xorg bug. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (400, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ru_RU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages libcairo2 depends on: ii libc6 2.13-32 ii libfontconfig1 2.9.0-5 ii libfreetype6 2.4.9-1 ii libpixman-1-0 0.24.4-1 ii libpng12-0 1.2.49-1 ii libx11-6 2:1.4.99.901-2 ii libxcb-render0 1.8.1-1 ii libxcb-shm0 1.8.1-1 ii libxcb1 1.8.1-1 ii libxrender1 1:0.9.7-1 ii multiarch-support 2.13-32 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.7.dfsg-1 libcairo2 recommends no packages. libcairo2 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- debsums errors found: debsums: package libcairo2 is not installed
