Hi.
As far as I can see, in 1.7 you've moved the locations from retention.dat /
sync.dat
from /var/lib/icinga/ to /var/cache/icinga/ .
While this is good by itslef :) ... could you please also handle this, i.e.:
- move the files over (if they exist)
i would raise severity as such a change without copying the old retained
data will cause possible regression. you will lose state history,
retained states as well as the scheduling queue and other valuable
information you would expect to behave normally after an upgrade.
see my changes on the icinga.spec for the rpms on repoforge, where i've
added such an upgrade path in order to stay safe.
https://github.com/dnsmichi/rpms/commit/3ae5ce96b207c5adbc1e71f8cbd39ea81e2f4218#L0R191
(also within the tarball spec file)
OR
- delete them in the old locations
don't do that. this will break your history (except log archives).
i wasn't aware that the location changed in debian as well, otherwise i
would have alerted sooner. possibly a fix for backports is needed then
as well.
kind regards,
michael
Cheers,
Chris.
