Hi Leo, The GNOME team wants to upload a PST-enabled evolution before wheezy. It'd be awesome if you could upload what you have in collab-maint so everyone can benefit.
It probably needs some update by now, but what you describe in the bug report looks ok to me, and libpst is clearly abandoned in Debian. You might want to fish in the Ubuntu package for more changes.
