Hello,
This is just an idea of a feature that may be useful. Manpages are often
refered to with this syntax: subject(section). For instance, tree(1)
has a “SEE ALSO” section that refers to ls(1).
Now, the command man used the following syntax to load a manpage from a
specific section:
% man section subject
For instance:
% man 1 ls
It may be useful to also accept the following syntax:
% man subject(section)
For instance:
% man ls(1)
This way, one could copy the reference from another manpage, and just
type “man ” and paste the reference to load the corresponding manpage.
