Package: debpear Version: 0.1 Severity: wishlist Hi.
It would be handy to have an option to manually download a package, then process it. I've tried doing it for phpCAS, whose instructions say : pear install http://downloads.jasig.org/cas-clients/php/current.tgz So, I did : $ pear download http://downloads.jasig.org/cas-clients/php/current.tgz $ mkdir build-area $ cd build-area $ ln -s ../current.tgz CAS-1.3.1.tgz Then I commented out the pear download in line 56, and did : $ debpear -p CAS Tada ! Hope this helps.
