Thank you, I stand corrected. I still think that this should be solved at the dpkg level, either with a Post-Depends: or we should have a way to "promote" such files (dbconfig-common or ucf) to `conffile's status. But then I probably miss the wider picture. Thx, bye, Gismo / Luca
