Midweek passed.... I really don't want the freeze to happen with the outdated and broken plymouth so I've uploaded a NMU to delayed to give you a couple of more days still. The additional patches was just posted to the same bug report. Hopefully they will be easy for you to merge into your local tree when you have time.
