I am getting a similar error with apt-cacher-ng backported to Squeeze
(via Ubuntu Lucid PPA) and think that it is related.

not updated and the previous index files will be used. GPG error:

This happens after ~1 day and a restart of apt-cacher-ng fixes it, too.

I am attaching the contents of
/var/cache/apt-cacher-ng/security.debian.org/dists/squeeze/updates/
(without subdirectories).

It never happened on my Ubuntu (12.04) box, where I also have backported
acng to.
