No reply from the author so far.

I was considering to change the tables.mysql file as you suggest but I
fear that by doing so I could be putting an "IPv6 ready" stick to this package
when in fact I have no idea about how everything else would work with IPv6
(for example, what would happen with LIGHTGREY, which uses a /24 mask?).

Will try to contact the author again. I agree that this bug is
"important", so I'm sorry not to have it fixed in wheezy.
