Package: cciss-vol-status Version: 1.09-2 Severity: wishlist HP raid cards can have flash-backed write caches installed. In Gen8 blades these are now hard wired to the cards.
The HP binary tool reports their health, cciss_vol_status doesnt. It would be great if this could be added. The smartctl tool can be used to see that an fbwc is installed like this... --- [[email protected] ~]# smartctl -a -d cciss,2 /dev/sda smartctl 5.42 2011-10-20 r3458 [x86_64-linux-2.6.32-279.el6.x86_64] (local build) Copyright (C) 2002-11 by Bruce Allen, http://smartmontools.sourceforge.net Vendor: PMCSIERA Product: SRCv4x6G Revision: RevB >> Terminate command early due to bad response to IEC mode page A mandatory SMART command failed: exiting.
